Karlos Dansby
As a co-founder of Butler’s Grooming Club, Karlos Dansby is in the business of making guys look and feel good. That might be surprising when you consider the career he’s best known for – as the starting linebacker for the Arizona Cardinals.
A Birmingham native, Karlos, was an All-State at Woodlawn High School and a standout at Auburn University. He spent 7 years with the Arizona Cardinals and was picked up by The Miami Dolphins in 2010 and now has returned to the Cardinals now.
Karlos and his wife Ty supported a housing program for women and girls in need, leading to the transformation of a Birmingham public housing building into the attractive development called DansbyCourt. He also supports other charitable causes and puts on a yearly football clinic for youth.
Karlos is a man who inspires with his good example. In his partnership with Butler’s he extends the metaphor: a man who looks good and feels good about himself — who knows what good he’ll be inspired to do?

Christopher Butler
After graduating from Auburn in 2002, Birmingham native, R. Christopher Butler was a NFL Free Agent until a career-ending injury led him to a career in banking with AmSouth and BBVA Compass. As a banker, Chris encountered a surprising frustration: the absence of anywhere, except for traditional barbershops and women’s day spas, to get quality grooming services for men. So in June of 2009 Chris and his business partner Karlos Dansby opened Butler’s Grooming Club, a gentleman’s grooming club where men can find the perfect shave, enjoy a beverage and relax in a space designed just for men. Today, Butler’s offers every man in Birmingham the opportunity to experience services tailored just for men, including haircuts and styling, hot lather shaves, nail and foot treatments, facials, massages, waxing, and shoeshines, as well as top of the line men’s grooming products.
When he’s not improving grooming experiences for his male counterparts at his grooming club location at Saks Fifth Avenue, Chris is a father of two and married to Leigh Higginbotham Butler. He’s is an avid golfer and a runner, and serves on the boards of several civic and charitable organizations, including the UAB Liver Center, American Liver Foundation, Pro Start Academy and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
